Citrine and Pearl Oval Pendant, mid 19th Century
A large natural light-yellow oval cut Citrine, claw set within a border of half pearls and accented by seed pearls with a matching pearl-set chain bail. The openwork lattice embellishment of the metalwork on the reverse gives the piece a three-dimensional architectural structure.
Valued since ancient times, Citrine is often associated with success and prosperity, earning it the nickname "the success stone." It is thought to attract abundance and good fortune, particularly in business endeavours.
